News Flash: LUSH Coming to Jersey City, Freehold, & Garden City This Summer

I don’t want Tinsel Creation to be the kind of blog that just copies press release after press release, because really, what’s the point? On the other hand, if a piece of news in my inbox really makes me sit up and smile (or cry or frown), I’ll share it.

LUSH Cosmetics has been one of my favorite destinations for nature-based body products and skincare for the past decade. Before the company opened stores in the United States, I used to mail order my favorite products from Canada and  Australia, so I’ve never gotten over the excitement of having LUSH right here in New York and the surrounding area (and cities all across the country).

Three new stores are opening this summer in the NYC metro area. Here are the details and opening dates:

Freehold Raceway Mall — Freehold, NJ

Estimated opening date: July 12*

Newport Centre Mall — Jersey City, NJ

Roosevelt Field Mall – Garden City NY

Product Review: LUSH T for Toes

Don’t we think about our feet much more often in the summer? They’re more visible, thanks to sandals and peep-toe shoes and so on. (I personally like to ignore the existence of flip-flops, barring a trip to the beach.) However, this greater exposure also means that they go through extra wear and tear, not to mention sun and heat.

If you’re able to maintain a strict pedicure regimen all summer, more power to you; but the really important things are, first, to apply sunblock to those poor, hard-working appendages, and second, to keep them as cool and comfortable as possible.

Product Review: LUSH Black Stockings

I’m a very pale person, both by nature and by design. When I was a child, my mother enforced a strict sunblock-wearing rule. As a teenager, I entered a Goth phase that involved long, layered clothing and an abhorrence of even the slightest tan. I still apply sunscreen daily and I’ve never really lost my taste for wearing black, but I do reveal my bare legs in the summer, and let me tell you, they are white.
