You may remember Axiology from my review of Boxwalla’s April subscription box. Well, I’ve been getting so much use from my Axiology Natural Lipstick in Noble that I ended up using a coupon code to order a lipstick in a new shade called Vibration.
Axiology describes Vibration as “A scarlet wash with a glint of pink, Vibration is a sunset glow on a desert rose,” which is very much on-target.

Here’s a photo from the Axiology website. (The colors in their photos are remarkably accurate!) I tend to favor subtly mixed colors that are hard to describe, and this is one of them — sort of red, sort of rose, with hints of coral and gold.
It’s a “warm” shade and it’s pretty versatile. It can go from the workday to evening, depending on how you apply it — just a quick swipe is more casual, or you can apply a second coat for a more intense lip.
Vibration has a slight gleamy glow that visually “plumps” lips, but no glitter or even any detectable shimmer particles. Very clever!
My only concern is that Axiology’s moisturizing formula does tend to “migrate” beyond my the edges of my mouth. To counteract this, I use a very small amount of balm underneath (less than I’d normally apply) and I line carefully with a neutral rose liner to keep things in place.
Here’s a list of Axiology’s Natural Lipstick ingredients:
Organic Candelilla Wax, Organic Avocado Oil, Organic Castor Oil, Organic Avocado Butter, Organic Grape Seed Oil, Organic Coconut Oil, Vitamin E Oil, Elderberry Extract, Sweet Orange Oil. (May Contain: Iron Oxide, Mica, Titanium Dioxide, Manganese Violet.)
Axiology’s packaging is also worth noting: the goldtone tube has a lid that you press down to pop off, and the triangular box is made by a woman-owned recycled-paper boutique in Bali.
If you like “green beauty” with a luxurious feel, this is a brand you should investigate. I’m glad Boxwalla introduced me to it.
