My Tumblr Life, Part 3

p01js8t2A new year, a new Tumblr project! I’m still reading Donna Tartt’s The Goldfinch, taking my time (and taking occasional short breaks when the novel’s many episodes of loss overwhelm me a bit). In the meantime, I’ve started a Tumblr as a sort of collage-homage, juxtaposing images of places, objects, and works of art that occur in the story. You can view it here.

  1. I couldn’t stop myself from finishing–so good! I liked Secret History, but I loved The Goldfinch. It hit all my buttons–alcoholism, Russians, unrequited love, antiques, and art. Have you read The Little Friend?

    1. Hah! I have many of the same buttons, apparently. I need to reread The Little Friend. It was so much more subtle and slow-moving than the others. I liked it, but I don’t remember too much about it!
