Brrrrr!
Reading: Palisades Park by Alan Brennert, a novel set in a famous New Jersey amusement part in the 1930s-40s; it was a Christmas gift from Mr. TC.
Video: New seasons of Downton Abbey and Sherlock, obviously! I also just saw Spike Jones’s Her at the movies.
Audio: I just purchased a new (rose-colored) iPod, after not having one for several years.
Eats & Treats: A friend brought us some Wilbur Chocolate Buds from Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, and now I’m addicted to them.
Drinks: Oren’s Daily Roast Holiday Blend coffee (another gift from Mr. TC) and Numi Aged Earl Grey tea.
Beauty Products: Aesop Sage & Zinc Hydrating Cream and Aveda Dry Remedy Daily Moisturizing Oil have been godsends in this frigid, dry weather.
Art: I recently made a trip to Bentonville, Arkansas, where I visited the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art and viewed its collections, as well as a James Turrell “Skyspace” titled The Way of Color on the museum grounds. I experienced the Skyspace at sunset in the company of friends and colleagues, and it was memorable.
Pleasure: Late weekend mornings in bed with both cats, now that the kitten has also learned to enjoy snuggling with her older step-sister and me.
Anticipation: Tackling some new writing projects.
