Reading: I’m revisiting The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe at bedtime these days. It delights and amazes me just as much as when I was in first grade.
Video: I enjoyed “Home Fires” — I didn’t love it, but it’s good fun and I love the costumes. Now I want to wear floral dresses, cardigans, and sensible shoes. Oh, wait — I’m already doing that.
Audio: Echo & The Bunnymen’s Songs to Learn & Sing just turned thirty years old. Wow.
Art: “Kongo: Power and Majesty” at the Met.
Drink: A colleague treated me to some really delicious hot cider with whiskey and rum on a recent evening in Brooklyn.
Eats & Treats: Foraged mushrooms from Dining Wild.
Garb: I keep promising myself that I’ll avoid “fast fashion,” but then I spot something like a tiger-patterned knit top at H&M and I can’t resist.
Beauty Products: A sample of Aftelier‘s new fragrance, Vanilla Smoke. Coppery-brown eyeliner from TonyMoly. A recently gifted Guerlain lipstick that I’ll review soon.
Purchase: Some essential oils from Enfleurage.
Pleasure: Sociable crafting events hosted by small businesses in my ‘hood.
Worry: Long dark nights and dropping temperatures. I’m just not a fan of winter anymore.
Stray Thought: You can’t really appreciate full-time employment until you’ve been without it.

I enjoyed Home Fires too, thought it started slow but seemed to find it’s way more solidly the last few episodes. I think the next season will be better.
I think you’re right — I got more engrossed as the season went on. We shall see! :)
