Winter is in the air, literally—and the lower temperatures and humidity will take a toll on my skin if I don’t fight them with extra hydration. The latest addition to my skincare arsenal is Fleur Vibrante Face Balm Concentrate from In Fiore, a small brand specializing in natural fragrance and skin products.
Fleur Vibrante is billed as “a wonderful curative to remedy scarring, redness, itchiness, and to strengthen tissue elasticity,” designed to soothe skin distressed by acne, sun damage, laser treatments and “other aggressions.” It’s recommended especially for dry and “mature” complexions, and even if you aren’t coping with any of the problems above, it’s a luxurious and effective solution for dryness or minor skin irritation.

This photograph shows a vanity designed by Paul T. Frankl, who furnished the Los Angeles home of comedian and radio personality Joe Penner and his wife Eleanor in 1938. It’s a classic piece of Art Deco design and, best of all, it displays more than two dozen perfume bottles.
I see Vol de Nuit, Shalimar, and Liu (Mrs. Penner was apparently a Guerlain-lover!), Bellodgia by Caron, and Cassandra by Weil. I’m sure I’ll identify a few more bottles as I keep studying this photo. Can you name any?

On the other hand…Christina Hendricks!!!

Obiqo is a line of skincare products made in New Zealand and formulated for women over 30 with normal-to-dry skin. I definitely fall into the latter category, and I prefer skincare products that incorporate natural ingredients, so Obiqo—with its New Zealand sea kelp and various botanical oils and extracts—checks all the boxes for me.
