I don’t have any tattoos, and I don’t think I ever will. Why not? Many reasons…
But look at these temporary tattoos! They’re based on the botanical illustrations of Vincent Jeannerot, and they’re FRAGRANCED with a scent created by Agilex Fragrances — a blend of fuschia, poppy, ylang ylang, and poplar wood. They’re supposed to last on the skin for 2 to 4 days before wearing away. I think one of these peonies or hydrangea clusters would be a lovely reminder of spring in the depths of winter, even if it were worn secretly under a cozy sweater.
Set of 8 for $18 at Tattly.
There’s nothing I love more than a well-researched and well-executed fragrance/art/fashion collaboration…and there’s nothing that annoys me more than a collaboration that, well, isn’t very well-researched.

I was sorting through some files in my computer and I came across this photo I took a few years ago. It shows some of my old perfume bottles, dating from 1987 through 1995.
From left to right, they are: Kenzo Parfum d’Été, Romeo Gigli, Laura Ashley No. 1, and Oscar de la Renta Ruffles.
I’d probably still wear any of these fragrances today. Well, maybe not the Ruffles, which was quite fruity-sweet, as I remember. But the others, yes.
My latest post on Now Smell This is a review of the new fragrance Rose of No Man’s Land from Byredo. You can read it here.

I haven’t blogged for the past week or so because Mr. TC and I were enjoying an off-season beach getaway. Now that I’m feeling relaxed and refreshed, I’ll be writing again soon. (When work and other obligations permit, that is!)
I always enjoy reading travel-perfume posts by other bloggers (like this recent one at Scents of Self!), so I thought I’d share this snapshot of the perfumes I packed for my vacation. It’s a mix of old and new fragrances, including various roses and two marine-ish picks that feel right for an autumn beach visit. It turned out to be a good assortment for this trip.
