Covet: Scented Flower Tattoos

tattly_flowers_perennial_02_edit_01_grande.jpg

I don’t have any tattoos, and I don’t think I ever will. Why not? Many reasons…

But look at these temporary tattoos! They’re based on the botanical illustrations of Vincent Jeannerot, and they’re FRAGRANCED with a scent created by Agilex Fragrances — a blend of fuschia, poppy, ylang ylang, and poplar wood. They’re supposed to last on the skin for 2 to 4 days before wearing away. I think one of these peonies or hydrangea clusters would be a lovely reminder of spring in the depths of winter, even if it were worn secretly under a cozy sweater.

Set of 8 for $18 at Tattly.

Covet: Cynthia Rowley Office Products at Staples

Screen Shot 2015-09-13 at 4.04.45 PMAfter my long-overdue cleaning and organizing of my home “office” space, I made a trip to Staples to pick up some new folders for my file cabinet. While I was there, I spotted these desk supplies designed by Cynthia Rowley.

I could always use a new notebook for any of my various projects, and I love this urban floral motif…not to mention the positive affirmation on the cover.

I’m eyeing the latest product launch from Lipstick Queen, a color-changing lipstick named Frog Prince. It’s bright clover green in the tube, but when it’s applied to lips, it adjusts to a rosy pink shade.

I’m a fan of LQ’s Hello Sailor, and I’d probably enjoy Frog Prince even more. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to nab a press sample, but I’ll check it out next time I’m near Barneys or SpaceNK.

In the meantime, I’m smiling over the illustration of a frog reclining in front of a fairytale castle, because it reminds me of something…

Covet: Jean-Paul Gaultier for Kusmi Tea

a-tin-designed-by-jean-paul-gaultier-for-kusmi-tea-ctsyKusmi Tea is one of my favorite tea brands—I’m particularly passionate about their Chocolat Epices and St. Petersburg blends. And now Kusmi is collaborating with designer Jean-Paul Gaultier, who has created limited-edition packaging for the company’s tea tins to coincide with an exhibition of his work at the Grand Palais in Paris.

According to Women’s Wear Daily, “The tins for Kusmi’s Anastasia and Prince Wladimir tea varieties will be the first to get their Gaultier stripes, with three others slated for a makeover during the year. Products will be sold in Kusmi Tea stores as well as at the boutique in the Grand Palais.”

I’m a longtime fan of LUSH”s Rose Jam (you can read my review on Now Smell This, here), so I’m thrilled to learn that LUSH has begun creating similarly scented products. The latest is a solid shampoo bar called Jason and the Argan Oil (get it?).

UPDATE: It’s been delayed due to a necessary reformulation, but it’s supposed to arrive in stores by the end of March!

Covet: Joya x Snarkitecture Secret Souvenir Candle

unnamed

I love New York. I love fancy candles. I can’t help coveting these new products from Joya Studio in collaboration with “art and architecture company Snarkitecture.”

Here’s the official description:

“The offset wick of this otherwise plain cylindrical candle suggests something unexpected beneath the surface. As the candle burns down, a metal souvenir is unearthed and a new and evolving topography of wax is formed. The image of a building in a landscape comes into focus. Each candle in the New York City edition of the Secret Souvenir series contains an Empire State Building, Chrysler Building or Statue of Liberty souvenir at random.” …
