Product Review: Guerlain KissKiss Lipstick in Pinky Groove (364)

Well, my infatuation with Guerlain cosmetics continues, so I thought I’d post another lipstick review. Pinky Groove is a shade from the revamped KissKiss line, launched in late summer 2014. Like many shades in the KissKiss collection, it has a silly-sounding name but it’s a beautiful color. Product Review: Tony Moly Panda’s Dream Brightening Eye Base

Most of my makeup these days falls into one of two categories: fancy-pants (Guerlain) or cheap-and-cheerful (Burt’s Bees, Wet ‘n’ Wild). I don’t know what this says about me.

In any case, at the latter end of the spectrum, I’m unable to resist going into Tony Moly whenever I pass this shop in Manhattan’s Koreatown. My latest purchase was Panda’s Dream Brightening Eye Base, one of several items in the Panda’s Dream eye-care line.

Why Panda’s Dream? Because pandas have big dark circles around their eyes (duh!) and, apparently, because these products contain bamboo shoot extract.

Product Review: Guerlain Ecrin 4 Couleurs Eyeshadow Quad in Les Sables (#15) — with swatches

I’ve mentioned before that Guerlain has been one of my beauty-product obsessions of 2014, and the Autumn 2014 collection has been on my mind for the past few weeks. I was curious about one of the Ecrin 4 Couleurs eye shadow “quads,” but I wasn’t certain how it would look in person or whether it would work for me.

I had my chance to find out a few weeks ago, when I had my makeup done at Bergdorf Goodman’s Guerlain counter last month and the Guerlain regional makeup artist selected Les Sables from her pile of products and began using it on me.
