What did you think of Out of The Furnace? I remember watching the trailer, and I have a good friend who is a huge Christian Bale fan who wanted to see it too.
You know, I really enjoyed it. I’m also a big admirer of Mr. Bale, too! It’s not the most original or ground-breaking film — there are plenty of other movies about working-class men living in depressed rust-belt towns, caught in cycles of violence but bound together by family loyalty, etc. etc. — but this one has a top-notch cast and excellent acting throughout, and it’s beautifully shot.
