In February I received another delightful box of “green beauty” items from the subscription service Boxwalla. I can’t praise this company highly enough. Every item I’ve received so far has been high quality and has fit right into my beauty regimen.

One of my favorites from February’s Beauty Box, which had the theme of “Cleopatra,” is RMS Beauty’s Lip2Cheek in Smile, plus a RMS Skin2Skin Blush Brush.

Product Review: Smashbox Baked Fusion Soft Lights (Baked Starblush)

As I’ve probably mentioned before, I don’t indulge in every cosmetics category as deeply as I do in lipstick. I own just two blushes, for example, and a few single-serving samples of bronzer and highlighter, and I usually find that’s enough for me to have on hand.

Although I tend to accumulate more lipsticks and perfumes than I need, I actually don’t own many blushes. This Paul & Joe Cheek Color, a limited edition for Fall 2015, is going to replace the Sunday Riley.

I can’t believe I’ve haven’t already written about Sunday Riley’s powder blush in Blushing. It’s been a staple in my makeup routine for the past two years or more. It’s one of those perfect basics that’s worth the investment, because it’s incredibly versatile and it lasts a very long time.

Here’s an official product photograph. Blushing is a very natural rose shade; I’ve seen it described as “cool,” but I think it’s closer to being a true neutral.

The packaging is Sunday Riley’s usual black-and-gold compact (with a mirror).

Covet: TheBalm InStain Long-Wearing Powder Staining Blush

Of all the beauty products in my regimen, blusher is one that I rarely re-purchase, only because I take months and months (and months) to use up a single container of blush. Right now I actually own two blushers (one from Sunday Riley, one from 100% Pure) and I haven’t “hit pan” on either one. But, even though I’m not in the market for a new blush, I can’t help eyeing this one from TheBalm.
